Questions?

Here are some of the most common questions I get about working together.

If you don’t see your question listed or are ready to schedule a free consult, contact me.

  • At this time, Olive and Sage Wellness is in network with most Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) PPO and United Healthcare PPO insurance plans.

We also provide self-pay for those seeking care outside of the restraints of the insurance system.

  • Due to wanting to empower clients to have a deep understanding of their insurance plan, Olive and Sage Wellness does not conduct benefit checks. All clients are strongly encouraged to call their insurance to verify their benefits and coverage and to understand how services will be billed per their plan.

If you have any questions or concerns, we are happy to help guide you in this process.

  • $180 50-53min evaluation session

    $170 50-53min therapy session

  • At this time, I only provide online therapy via a confidential telehealth platform.

  • You will receive a link to a safe and confidential telehealth platform where we will meet for sessions.

All clients need to be in the state of Illinois at the time of session in order to particiapte.

I recommend you find a private space (a room, your car, etc.), plug in some headphones, and get comfortable!

  • At this time, I do not offer in-person sessions.

  • Before the first appointment, you will be asked to complete a handful of paperwork in order to establish care. Then, you will be sent a link from a HIPPA compliant video platform that we both will use to log on at our session time.

The first one to two sessions are normally spent getting to know one another a bit where I guide you through some helpful background questions about your life so far. I want you to feel in control of our pace so you are encouraged to share what feels comfortable to you.

Generally by session three, we are able to transition to a more typical therapy session where we start to dive in more intentionally to the topics that were identified in the previous sessions.

  • The answer to this question is that people’s lengths of treatment are unique to each person. Some people feel like having therapy regularly is a stabilizing and helpful way for them to manage stress and mental health symptoms. Others feel like after a couple months, they are ready to end sessions.

We will work together to help you check in with yourself about what pace feels appropriate for your needs. I am not here to rush you out of therapy, healing happens on no one’s timeline.
