Relationships are the core of who we are and how we spend our time as humans. Whether it is relationships with family members, romantic partners, friends, coworkers, or children, our relationships have significant power to influence our quality of life. After a pattern feeling lonely or frustrated in your relationships, you have likely have wondered, “maybe I need to work on me”.

It could be that you’ve noticed a pattern of choosing romantic partners that are emotionally distant and aloof. Maybe you find yourself struggling to have deep relationships with family members because you don’t know how to make sense of your experiences with them from the past. Or perhaps you find that you have a pattern of passive aggression and avoidance with a best friend.

However you may be struggling within the various relationships in your life, it can be difficult to try to step out of the familiar patterns and learn how to do something differently.

  • No, I do not offer couples counseling at this time. I offer the opportunity to really hone in on how individuals show up in relationships and how their “stuff” may impact the relationship quality in their lives.

  • While it’s true people often hear “relationship” and think “romantic” however in a therapy setting, we can explore the gambit of all the relationships in your life. Relationship therapy can focus on romantic partners, parents, children, siblings, friends, coworkers, or neighbors.

  • While we cannot change others, we can focus our efforts on helping you on the process of getting to know yourself better. When you get to know your own mind better, you will find that your ability to make better decisions and set more effective boundaries. Showing up differently in relationships is a process and we can walk that path together.
