Preparing for more than just birth.

Birth is one day.

The transition to parenthood is much longer than that.

Tender Transitions helps you prepare for everything that comes after.

You've spent so much time preparing for labor and learning how to care for your baby.

But in the midst of all that preparation… have you taken any time to think about caring for yourself?

How might your relationship shift as your family grows?

What comfort items will you want nearby while you recover?

How will you know whether what you're feeling is the baby blues, or a sign that you need more support?

How will you care for yourself while you're caring for your baby?

Preparing to care for yourself isn't separate from preparing to care for your baby.

It's part of it.

For everything that comes after.

Most childbirth classes do a wonderful job preparing you for labor, delivery, and caring for your baby.

Tender Transitions was created to support you through the transition to parenthood.

Inside you'll find thoughtful reflection prompts, practical planning tools, and gentle guidance for the transition to parenthood.

Because the goal isn't to prepare perfectly.

It's to have something beside you as you find your footing.

A glimpse inside Tender Transitions

Inside you'll find practical planning tools, thoughtful reflection prompts, and gentle reminders that you deserve care, too.

A note from the author.

If I've learned anything from years of sitting with parents in my therapy office, it's this: preparing for birth is important, but preparing for yourself as you transition into parenthood matters, too.

I've worked with so many parents who entered postpartum feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or convinced they were somehow doing it wrong. While preparation can't prevent every challenge, I've seen how it can help people meet postpartum with more self-compassion and less self-doubt.

Becoming a mom myself only deepened that belief.

My own pregnancy was incredibly challenging, and I often felt surrounded by messages that parenthood should feel joyful all the time, as if struggling meant I was somehow doing it wrong.

Instead, I discovered something much more honest: just because parenthood is hard doesn't mean it needs to be miserable.

That realization changed the way I experienced postpartum, and it's the reason Tender Transitions exists.

I didn't create Tender Transitions to be another checklist, another product promising to fix everything, or another expectation to live up to. I created it to be a thoughtful companion. Somewhere you can slow down, reflect, prepare with intention, and remind yourself that caring for yourself isn't separate from caring for your baby. It's part of it.

My hope isn't that you finish this workbook feeling perfectly prepared.

It's that you enter parenthood with greater confidence, deeper self compassion, and the reassurance that hard moments don't mean you're failing.

Take tender care of you.
